Chippyjazz is a free all day festival of classic jazz, which uses the town of Chipping Norton as its stage. There are free gigs around the town from 12 noon until 11:00pm.

There is also an evening festival at the theatre for which tickets are being sold.

The free gigs are held in selected venues in the town centre throughout the day. In addition to all of this there will be a walking band in various outside locations throughout the afternoon.

This is the thirteenth year that the town has hosted this event, and each year Chippyjazz grows larger and more popular,
All venues are provided free of charge, by their owners, who also pay for the entertainment at their establishment. Without the generosity and goodwill of these local business people, Chippyjazz could not happen. Once again The Theatre has responded generously. Not only is it hosting the evening concerts, but it is throwing its doors open all afternoon at no charge for the Youth Jazz Bands gig. This event is organised by the Chipping Norton Rotary Club and is in aid of our chosen charities for 2010. There will, of course, be collections and a grand raffle. Enjoy the day and give what you can.
